The Cockney people originate from the East End area: Shoreditch, Whitechapel, Mile End, and the adjacent neighborhoods where the bells of St Mary Le Bow Church ring. In 1941, during World War II, due to German bombings, the bells were destroyed. They weren’t replaced until 1961, so for two decades, no Cockney was born, as tradition holds that they are distinct because they hear the bells from their homes.

Cockneys are the most authentic and distinctive Londoners. They even have their own dialect. This is reflected in the mix of seemingly contradictory materials, creating a provocative, modern, and highly dynamic dialogue. The silicone strap and bamboo wood of the watch dance a folkloric dance in which light sets the stage.
